On the one hand, we have the single seed, embarking on its journey under the protection of its plume. It often lands in a new environment a long way from the original flower, enabling new plants to grow. On the other hand, the parent plant stays in its original position and grows further, sometimes on the hardest of surfaces. A year later, it blossoms yellow once more and produces new seeds for dispersal.
Once again, we have a great example of Mother Nature following a really clever strategy.
